I never bother to save until I'm done with my session as although I'm not playing on Old School I am not save-scumming at all, so saves between sessions just didn't seem necessary. It kind of sucks because I was doing this last mission before going to bed and now I'll have to just kill the game, and I haven't saved at all tonight (only been playing like an hour or so, but it's still pretty upsetting as I did really well on the missions I completed tonight).Īnybody else had something similar to this happen? If not, take this as a warning to save your game every so often.
I can still hear the music playing and if I mouse over the alien the targeting box gets drawn around it so I know the game isn't frozen completely, it's just stuck. I'm doing a UFO landing and after clearing out one wave of aliens I had my guys reload or go to overwatch to end my turn.
